Lifestyle event: “It is important to be able to share in everyone’s success!”

The entire Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty team was in Burgundy, on 22nd and 23rd September 2022, for a cultural and gastronomic lifestyle event. Sonia Thomas, co-founder of the agency, reviews this enriching experience. An opportunity to share good lifestyle addresses with you!

What prompted you to organise a lifestyle event?

Sonia: “We believe it is important to be able to share everyone at Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty’s success. For the second consecutive year and because of the results, we wanted to thank the team and treat them to a trip of pure happiness!”

How did you choose your destination and the different activities?

Sonia: “Last year, we went to Yoann Conte in Annecy (2 stars in the Michelin Guide, 4 toques in Gault et Millau and Grandes Tables du Monde), around the theme of lake and water activities. This year, with Lionel, we wanted to share a new experience around gastronomy, culture and land. The whole team would also like to thank David Gaultier of Vin sur Vin in Chamonix for recommending these beautiful addresses!”

The detailed programme

Day one:

• - Visit and tasting at the Domaine de Taupenot-Merme in Morey-Saint-Denis (21220), with Virginie Taupenot, “whom we would like to thank for her welcome and the time she took to let us taste Grands Crus such as Mazoyères-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, Saint-Romain…” highlights Sonia.
• - Lunch at the Castel de Très Girard in Morey-Saint-Denis.
• - Relaxing at the Hostellerie de Levernois (21200), Relais & Château, followed by socialising amongst the Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty team
• - Gourmet dinner at La Table de Levernois, the Hostellerie’s Michelin-starred restaurant (one star in the 2022 Michelin Guide), with chef Philippe Augé.

Day two:

• - Open visit of Beaune (21200)
• - Lunch at Biz’tro (4 place de la Madeleine in Beaune)
• - Private visit of Musée de l’Hôtel-Dieu des Hospices civils de Beaune.

What were the objectives of the trip?

Sonia: “We are extremely lucky to have a team that is very focused on helping each other out, corporate culture and rigour. Their skills, the quality of their work and their involvement are extraordinary qualities for us.

We are very proud of that, and we thank them for that. Our goal was to discover beautiful houses and beautiful lands. It is personal enrichment which we would like to share with our readers today.”

What lessons have you learned from this experience?

Sonia: “It was just beautiful, and we plan to do this again every year, with new discoveries, both gustatory and cultural!”
